My Journey to True Freedom

Five years ago, the world shut down, and like many of us, I found myself trapped in a new reality - forced indoors, disconnected, and uncertain. Lockdown pushed me into something I never thought I'd do: teaching yoga classes online. At first, it seemed like a gift from the universe. Suddenly, I could teach from home, my dogs sleeping peacefully at my feet, and it felt like the perfect solution to the chaos outside.

But what started as a blessing soon turned into a struggle. When the world opened again, my online classes dwindled. Students returned to studios, and my screen felt lonelier each day. Yet, returning to the yoga studio grind didn’t align with my dreams of freedom - my heart craved something bigger. I yearned for location freedom, to allow me to travel regularly between the Czech Republic and London. I wanted the flexibility to visit family, nurture relationships, travel, and spend precious, playful days outdoors with my dogs.

Lockdown taught us something powerful - we can all work online, effectively and efficiently. Yet, as the pandemic eased, the old system pushed us right back into fluorescent-lit offices, traffic jams, and rigid routines. The contrast between what I'd experienced during lockdown - freedom, flexibility, family - and what the system demanded was painful. I knew deep down that my soul wasn’t meant for the corporate hamster wheel, even when I was doing a job that felt purposeful.

But there was another pressing reason behind my desire to return home. My dad had a serious car accident, and every visit I made seemed to help him heal. He talked more, began to walk again, and I could see the tangible impact of my presence and care. However, the level of support he was receiving through the system and social care wasn't enough. I felt an undeniable calling to step up and help him fully recover. I realized that supporting my family wasn’t just a wish - it was an urgent necessity.

I felt stuck. Trapped between the dream of freedom and the reality of bills, societal expectations, and the uncertainty of taking a new path. Robert Kiyosaki, the author of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad," speaks profoundly about the Cashflow Quadrant. He explains that we exchange either time or money, and most people spend their entire lives trading their precious hours for a paycheque, forever caught in the cycle of earning just enough to survive but never truly thriving.

I realised my overwhelm, restlessness, and feeling of being stuck were clear signs that my soul needed a new direction. The corporate world tried to mould me into a robot, endlessly productive yet disconnected from purpose, joy, and fulfilment. But the truth is, we are not robots. We are souls with dreams, desires, and missions. Every feeling of frustration is our inner voice whispering, or sometimes screaming, that it's time for change.

I watched a 40-minute webinar that outlined a clear, authentic business opportunity, which deeply resonated. This wasn’t some get-quick-rich scheme or an empty promise wrapped in shiny packaging. Instead, it introduced me to a business built on purpose, sustainability, and genuine impact.

When life is OK or fine, doubts can surface immediately: "It's not the right time," "I don’t have the money," "I’m not a salesperson," "What if I fail?" Without a strong reason or why, most people don’t overcome these fears. We’ve been programmed to give in to our fear as a signal or excuse. But this is the point where we need to dig deeper, lean into the supportive mentorship, and start overcoming each limiting belief.

Let's look at the ones I often hear.

"It's not the right time." There's never a perfect time. Life doesn't pause, waiting for you to be ready. Taking action is always better than staying stagnant.

"I don’t have money." Investing in your future and dreams requires courage, yes, but it also demands prioritising your long-term freedom over short-term comforts. The question wasn't, "Can I afford it?" but rather, "Can I afford NOT to pursue this path?"

"I'm not a salesperson." Neither am I, and neither do you need to be. This business thrives on authenticity, passion, and genuine sharing rather than pushy sales tactics. It's about offering solutions you wholeheartedly believe in, not convincing someone to buy something they don’t need.

"What if I fail?"
